Medrocs: A pharmacy redesigned from legacy to modern clarity

Medrocs was a full-scale rebrand aimed at reshaping public perception after the pharmacy transitioned to new ownership. The original identity and website felt dated, so our goal was to create a modern, warm, and approachable brand that better reflected the owner’s vision. We avoided the typical “corner pharmacy” clichés, instead developing a fresh logo inspired by the Greek goddess of health and a rich, inviting color palette of deep greens and orange-yellow accents. This comprehensive overhaul—from visual identity and website to signage and social assets—helped bring the brand into the present. Since launch, Medrocs has seen steady increases in both website traffic and in-store visits, reinforcing the strength of the new direction.

Scope of Work:

Our challenge was updating a legacy pharmacy brand that felt outdated and easily lost among typical “corner pharmacy” aesthetics. We had to create something modern and inviting while avoiding predictable symbols and finding a direction that reflected the new ownership’s personality. The goal was a brand that felt both rooted and refreshed.

We approached the rebrand by stripping the pharmacy identity down to its core values—care, trust, and modern service—and rebuilding from there. The redesigned logo and updated color palette created a strong visual foundation, while a clean, approachable website brought the new personality to life. Every element was intentionally crafted to move the brand away from its dated past and into a more confident, contemporary presence.

The solution was a fully modernized brand system that gave Medrocs a clear and compelling identity. The new logo, refreshed color palette, and cohesive visual language worked together to differentiate the pharmacy while maintaining an inviting, trustworthy presence. Rolled out across the website, signage, and social assets, the system brought clarity and consistency to every customer touchpoint.

The logo combines an enclosed design, the medical cross, and an illustration of Hygieia—the Greek goddess of health—to create a meaningful and cohesive mark. The enclosed shape communicates trust, safety, and professionalism, while the medical cross provides an immediate visual association with healthcare and pharmacy. Featuring Hygieia adds a layer of historical and symbolic depth, representing wellness, healing, and the enduring legacy of medical care. Together, these elements form a distinctive and versatile logo that reinforces the pharmacy’s commitment to both tradition and trusted care.

Hygieia (also spelled Hygeia) is the Greek goddess of health, cleanliness, and hygiene. She is the daughter of Asclepius, the god of medicine, and Epione, the goddess of the soothing of pain.

MEDICAL CROSS

A medical cross is a universally recognized symbol associated with health, safety, and care. It helps reinforce the brand’s purpose and builds immediate recognition with customers seeking health-related products or services.

BADGE/SHIELD SHAPE

An enclosed logo mark—such as a badge, shield, or circle—conveys a sense of trust, stability, and professionalism, which are critical in the healthcare and pharmacy space.
